speravo che quella combinazione di led + strato di silicone avessero risolto il problema del verde.

Guardando le foto di recensioni con l'xml mi sembra che la mia sia meno verde, ma non del tutto assente.

Il mio centraled xm-l ha qualche decimo di mm di gioco.

Ricordo un modding su una tn31 che usando un xpl dedome perdeva circa 8/10klux rispetto a un xml2.

A parità di parabola, un xm-l2 ha un tiro superiore all' xp-l .

Questo è molto interessante, era una domanda che ci ponevamo diverse settimane fa e
nessuno sapeva rispondere. Che sia una modifica propria della Cree, e non artigianale ?

Sulla confezione della torcia che c'è scritto ? XM-L2 o XP-L ?

Probabilmente si sono fatti fare un led senza cupola ma con una protezione del die, dovrebbe durare di più.
Non condivido invece la scelta dell' XP-L. Il die è identico, ma il supporto molto più piccolo e quindi meno superficie su cui dissipare e meno superficie a contatto con la basetta.

C'è scritto Customized Led CREE, quindi penso si saranno fatti fare dei led customizzati direttamente da CREE.
Almeno che non riescano da soli a fare il riporto siliconico.

C'é da capire perchè siano passati da XML a XPL

Here is the response from Olight regarding the dark spot around the LED:

The earlier light source of M2X-UT used CREE XM-L2 LED. We improve light – concentrating effect through removing an optical lens on the LED surface.

The method of removing silica gel on LED surface by OLIGHT (first generation)
The silica gel on LED surface is an optical lens; OLIGHT adopts chemical method to remove silica gel on LED surface. After that, we will clean and stove the LED. Then we will paste LED by SMT and assembly it. (First generation method)

The reason of the LED with black spot:
The black spot around the LED illuminant body is the metal surface is oxidized; the reason of this issue is that the protection coating of LED electrode surface is broken. This protection coating is very thin and also it is not very sticky with the metal conductor, the protection coating maybe falling off or scratching by slightly touching. During the process of OLIGHT removing silica gel on LED surface, it has caused physical damage to the protection coating, and add the LED is used under the long time high temperature, result that the metal part on the protection coating will be oxidized by air and vapor, and the oxidation material will occur black spot on the LED conductor surface.

The Influence of those black spot:
LED illuminant body is located in the bottom of the yellow area, and the black spot come out is because of the conductor surface is oxidized. So it doesn’t influence LED luminous flux, lighting effect and color temperature, also doesn’t influence the lighting function.

The follow-up improvement of LED encapsulation:
OLIGHT has improved the method of removing silica gel on LED, after the LED by SMT, then removing the silica gel. Another will encapsulate a very thin silica gel coating on the LED, this will protect the LED effective, and at the same time, the color temperature will be improved well.

Eh a parole sembrerebbe una soluzione valida ma è già stato notato che il verde rimane comunque..

Vorrei chiedervi un parere, visto che la Javelot non ha la clip e il fodero sembra la fondina della pistola, doveste portarla alla cintura, cosa usereste? Un anello tipo quello che si usa con le Mag? Se dovessi tornare a fare dei lavori di sicurezza la vorrei portare con me ma non voglio che sembri un' arma per tanti motivi.

ecco la basetta della mia M2X
è tutta in rame spesso un pelo meno di 2mm con un riporto finissimo sul lato led per le tracce per i collegamenti al led.

Qui si nota meglio lo strato piatto siliconico sul led XPL

Ma come, hanno sviluppato una così bella basetta, un bel strato siliconico,e si son persi sulla lucidatura della basetta?!?
